Sources say that it is the first Indian film to be made with such a huge budget of nearly Rs. 190 crores. Think Music has already bought the audio rights of the film and Sun Pictures has bought the satellite rights.

The Robot features Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan in the lead and produced by Sun Pictures. Grammy Award winner A.R. According to the reports, Rajinikanth initially tried to avoid the event, but then on the insistence of the marketing team and the director Shankar, he finally gave the nod to attend the event.

The Robot ( Endhiran) is the biggest budget film produced in India till date. The total production cost was around 150 crores. It is a trilingual film, which will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. In this film Rajinikanth is paired opposite the Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Bachchan.

According to the newspaper, the actor is a close friend and relative of Gopinath, the owner of this Bar and restaurant, which is known for its delicious food.

Rajinikanth loved the food of this restaurant and he was one among its regular customers, when he was working as a BMTC (BTS) bus conductor between 1968 and 1973. Recently, his friend Gopinath requested him to visit hotel once. So the actor, who is known for his simplicity, love and involvement with his old friends, had come down to his bar and restaurant to meet him.

However, another interesting fact is that the bar servers are said to have shot a video of the conversation between Rajinikanth and Gopinath and they have converted it to CD. They are continuously playing the video in their bar. It is said that the video has created lot of curiosity among the Rajini fans in Bangalore. Billa is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster film Don and it is also loosely inspired from Rajinikanth’s 1980s film with the same title. The action-thriller went on to gross $13 million at the box office and it was declared as the highest grosser of the year 2007.

Rao will be releasing the mega budget Robo in Andhra Pradesh under the banner Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films. Producer says,

The movie is likely to hit the screens on September 3, 2010 along with its Telugu version titled Yanthram.

As per the sources, the Rajinikanth starrer Sivaji producer and distributor Bellamkonda Suresh has quoted around Rs 20 crores to get the Telugu dubbing rights of Endhiran. Two other leading Telugu film producers have reportedly quoted Rs 23 crores and Rs 26 crores respectively. The final decision is likely to come out in next few days.
